NetMotion Mobility XE Analytics Module: Bringing Visibility Into Mobile Deployments (PDF)

For an IT department, much of what goes on within a mobile deployment is unseen. With the Mobility XE Analytics Module, adminstrators gain an unprecedented view into how mobile computing resources are used. Read this white paper to learn about the capabilities of the Analytics Module. It includes a complete listing of the reports available, and examples of how insight from specific reports can be used to boost productivity and drive other operational improvements. The paper also details the notifications capability — the second major element of the Analytics Module — and how it greatly streamlines the day-to-day management of a mobile deployment.

Mobile Network Access Control (PDF)

Mobility XE’s Mobile Network Access Control (NAC) module allows mobile devices (laptops, tablet PCs, handhelds and smartphones) to connect to the enterprise network only after meeting specified security policies. With NAC deployed administrators have greater control and flexibility over the response to a device that does not meet security guidelines. Based on severity and even the speed of their connection, administrators may choose from simple warnings, to triggering customizable remediation policies that can limit application access, launch websites, or even initiate software downloads, to disconnecting or quarantining the device. This white paper outlines the process for NAC rule creation and deployment to mobile devices.

Yankee Group: Maximizing Mobile Worker Productivity (PDF)
The right mobile and wireless technologies not only address the unique computing challenges mobile workers face such as wireless coverage gaps and interruptions, internetwork roaming and performance issues, but also help automate and streamline processes, providing significant ROI. This Yankee Group white paper identifies the secure mobile solutions available and how these technologies map back to the requirements of today’s mobile enterprise.

Wireless Network Quality of Service (PDF)
A key challenge faced by enterprise IT management is how to ensure the productivity of the growing population of mobile workers. A successful mobile deployment can empower mobile workers with the resources they need to be effective at the point of service, resulting in a more productive workforce, expedited customer service, happier customers and increased revenue. Selecting the right mobile solutions and managing today’s mobile enterprise, however, is not a simple task. Successful mobile deployments require IT management to take a holistic approach managing all elements of the mobile deployment, including applications, wireless networks and devices. This white paper describes how Quality of Service (QoS) can enable organizations to maximize mobile worker productivity and fully leverage the benefits of their mobile deployments.

Security for Wireless Networks (PDF)
Authenticating users and securing sensitive data transmissions is critical in today's world. Adequately securing network access and protecting data being transmitted to and from mobile devices is more difficult in wireless environments. This white paper details how Mobility XE prevents unauthorized users from accessing your network and stops eavesdropping, replay and other network-level attacks.

Technical Overview for Network Administrators (PDF)
This document discusses some of the operational and technical details of NetMotion Wireless Mobility XE Mobile VPN software. It is particularly useful to network administrators who require a deeper understanding of how Mobility XE functions, before deploying it in their environment.

Policy Management Module: Granular Management of Wireless Bandwidth, Security and Mobile Productivity (PDF)
Mobility XE's Policy Management module is an optional feature-set that gives administrators centralized, flexible tools for managing applications, devices and users in a wireless network environment. Read this white paper to learn how to better control network costs, improve productivity and ensure data security with Mobility XE Policy Management.

NetMotion Mobility XE Scalability (PDF)
Designed to support mobile deployments of any size, NetMotion Mobility XE Mobile VPN software scales easily to accomodate growing mobile workforces, and to provide failover and redundancy. The size of the mobile deployment and the load on the network determines whether a single server or a pool of servers should be used. Very roughly, deployments that involve 1,500 or fewer simultaneously connected mobile devices (clients) can use one Mobility XE server; larger deployments can use a pool of up to twelve servers to handle as many as 15,000 simultaneously connected clients. Whatever the size of the deployment, the server(s) and clients are centrally configured and managed from a unified, web‐based console. Read this white paper to learn more about Mobility XE's ability to easily scale to meet your organization's changing mobile deployment needs.
